Blog Tour Stop: Bloody Coffee by Michelle Dim-St. Pierre

I have to say, I love a book with some mystery . . . Especially about dark pasts

Synopsis

A complex, suspenseful, and engrossing tale of doubts, trust, budding romance, and two bullets.

Eighteen-year-old Leigh arrives at a Tel Aviv hospital, seeking information about her probable father. Dr. Sloan, who had a cardiac arrest right after they met for the first time. As she stands next to her father’s bed and watches him, her past, present and future collide. Despite the advice of those around her, Leigh decides to face the challenges of the legal system in Israel. She obtains a court order for a paternity test and confronts Sloan. During the quest to find the truth about her biological father, Leigh is exposed to violent religious intolerance, faces life in a country where church and state are not separate, and meets the man who may be her first true love. Will she change her view of the world she thought she knew? Will she forgive her mother? Will a gunshot change her attitude towards her probable father? And, what will she say to Steve, the only father she ever really had?

A book with mystery, a dark past, family issues, different country, different laws, everything, literally in one single book. This book was definitely not a bore to read, it kept me on the edge of my seat or awake all night just to see what happens next.

I give Michelle and Bloody Coffee ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️!!! The cover, the story itself, and the way it was written. It swallowed me up!

Blog Tour Stop – Ascenders Saga by C. L. Gaber

Are you interested in a young adult read that transports you to something similar to limbo? Something with time travel? Romance? Adventure and more? Read below and be intrigued like I was in the Ascenders Saga by C. L. Gaber!

Synopsis for Ascenders Saga Volume One, High School for the Recently Departed

Welcome to the Ascenders Academy where there is absolutely no homework, no rules, and no consequences.

Walker Callaghan, 17, is dead.

She doesn’t go to heaven or hell. She lands at The Academy, a middle realm where teenagers have one thing in common: They were the morning announcement at their high schools because they died young.

These high school kids are now caught in a strange “in-between” zone where life hasn’t changed very much. In fact, this special teen limbo looks a lot like life in a quaint Michigan town complete with jocks, popular girls and cliques.

“There are even cheerleaders in death,” Walker observes.

It’s not a coincidence that the music teacher is a guy named Kurt who “used to have this band.” The drama teacher, Heath, is crush worthy because back in his life, he starred in some superhero movie.

Principal King explains the rules – there are none. Why? You Can’t die twice.

You’re just there to learn because the human brain isn’t fully formed until you’re 24.

By the way, you can’t get hurt physically, so race your Harley off that hillside.

But falling in love is the most dangerous thing you can do . . . Because no one knows how long you’ll stay in this realm or what’s next.

“Losing someone you love would be like dying twice,” Walker says.

Synopsis for Ascenders Saga Volume Two, Skypunch

In the Midst – a place for those who die young – there are no rules except one.

And Walker Callaghan, dead at seventeen, just broke it. She briefly revisited her earthly life . . . And the punishment is eternal. Longing fo her rebel love interest, Daniel Reid, Walker finds an ally in Cass, whose attraction to her is as alive as he is. “Life is short,” he tells her.

“I’m banking on eternity. With you.”

In the second book of the Ascenders Saga, a realm-jumping journey takes Walker and Daniel back to life again when they search for something buried in history. They team with students from several other schools in the middle realm including a place for teens born with oddities.

It’s home to the Claires . . . Beautiful, ruthless, and quite dead seventeen-year-old quads who each have a different clairvoyant gift.

Can Walker survive another adventure of an afterlife-time – or will she find herself on the downside of eternity?
