Lee Mountford is a big fan of the horror genre. From England, he has written many different horror novels starting with Horror in the Woods

Synopsis for Horror in the Woods

FINDING THAT DESECRATED BODY WAS ONLY THE BEGINNING . . .

For Ashley and her three friends, it was supposed to be an adventure-filled weekend. A chance to get away from the hustle-and-bustle of city life, and experience the peaceful tranquility of nature.

But when they ventured into those woods, their trip turned into a horror far beyond what they could have ever imagined.

Because these four friends have wandered into the territory of the violent, grotesque Webb family. A group of psychopaths who have a taste for human meat. And they are hungry!

Ashley and her friends must face this evil head-on, and worse, discover the shocking secret behind the family’s existence . . .

Int he vein of THE EVIL DEAD, TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, and WRONG TURN – HORROR IN THE WOODS will leave you exhausted and drained. A brutal, violent tale that hurtles along at break-neck pace – one that horror fans should not miss!

Now, you should know already, I love anything that creates whiplash in me when I read a novel. Something that would make my mind explode!

The Nutcracker and the Mouse King by E.T.A Hoffman

Another classic, which by the way, my daughter is dying to see the new movie rendition. I always loved the live ballet performance shown on the television. I always enjoyed watching it on Christmas Eve at my grandparents house every year growing up.

The story alone is breathtaking. It is full of life, adventure, drama, action, and so much more, and this story. When you know the story, and see it come to life in the ballet, with the costumes, the music, the dance, all put together, it is just amazing. And the new movie rendition looks like it can take us to a whole different realm of this story.
