Day 6 of #31AuthorsofHalloween – Iain Rob Wright

If you want an apocalyptic horror story, pick up his first book in the Hell on Earth series, The Gates.

Not a lot scares me when it comes to horror, but, I was a little creeped out when I was reading it outside . . . In the dark . . . The wind blowing . . . And unknown critters running around. I have to say, I ran inside lol.

In the beginning of the book, a weird black stone was found in a random spot. Soon, the same stone was placed in random parts of the world, thousands of them. You then start to meet main characters (I would not get too attached). Before you know it, the black stone opens up the gates of Hell. Demons and fallen angels start flooding onto Earth and just killing everyone that they come in contact with.

When I finished the first book, I am thirst for more, so of course, I plan on getting the others soon, just to find out what happens in the end.

Iain has written over twenty books and he is one of most successful horror and suspenseful writers in the UK.

March 2018 Book Haul

March has been a crazy month in books, to say the least. Hubby found a used bookstore in Sacramento called Dimples, my daughter had a book fair at her school, and of course, random book findings.

My pile of TBR books is growing at a rather fast rate. And I am not complaining lol. The more books, the better, and if I am having a really good amount of time to knock a bunch of books, I am not having to worry about what to read next.

Now, onto the fun 🙂

Castle’s Richard Castle’s Deadly Storm Graphic Novel

Kim Harrison’s Black Magic Sanction

Vera Brosgol’s Anya’s Ghost

J.R. Ward’s Rapture

Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple: The Complete Short Stories

Charlaine Harris’s Dead as a Doornail

Cate Tiernan’s Sweep: Book of Shadows, Book 1

Robyn Carr’s The Life She Wants

Lois Ruby’s The Secret Grave

Madeleine L’Engle’s A Wrinkle in Time

Mary Casanova’s American Girl: Grace

Stephen King’s The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger

Linda Gerber’s Death by Latte

Richard Castle’s Heat Wave
