Book Review – Wild Rescuers: Guardians of the Taiga by Stacy Plays

I never knew she wrote a book until I met her personally when I took my daughter to MineFaire to meet her favorite Minecraft player

Stacy and her pack of six special wolves – Addison, Basil, Everest, Noah, Tucker, and Wink – have been on countless adventures in their Minecraft videos on YouTube. Now they are embarking on a book series all about what they do best: rescuing animals!

That first rescue had awoken something inside of Stacy. She knew what it was like to lose her own family. And how wonderful it was to be rescued (in her case, by the wolves). From then on, Stacy and the pack roamed the forest during the day, looking for ways to aide their fellow taiga residents. Reuniting families, saving animals from death, nursing the injured back to health . . .

Stacy was just beginning to snore loudly when a bloodcurdling howl rang out from over the quiet taiga. Stacy and the wolves all sat up at attention, every one of them wondering – and hoping – they’d dreamt it. But Stacy knew what she’d heard and it instantly filled her with dread.

So, if you have a young teenager or a child, you would know what Minecraft is. Stacy Plays is a YouTube star who creates videos of her playing Minecraft. I surprised my daughter to the MineFaire that happened back in February and she was stoked that Stacy Plays was there. Almost to the point that she was about to cry.

That was when I realized she wrote a children’s book. So, of course, I bought one and asked for her to sign it lol. I have to say, it was a pretty adventurous book, and it was very intriguing.

Wild Rescuers has drama, adventure, and suspense all wrapped up in a little package. And, it was quite cute to read. I give the book 5 stars for how descriptive and imaginative it is.

A Fae that kicks butt??? Yes please!!!

She couldn’t escape, even in death.

Cold. Stiff. Buried beneath the ground for decay. How do you comprehend waking up after being dead? For Dakini, that is a reality. Her last memory is of her land being destroyed as she meets her demise.

Something or someone brought her back. But why? The world she remembered is gone. The last thing she wants to do is face her killer again. Blending in seems to be her best option. Until she comes face to face with the true hell her people are experiencing under the new leadership.

Sold into the kingdom of dragon shifters, she chooses to compete in Ruination, a set of death duals, in order to gain her freedom. She must face her challenges head on if she wants to take her land back from those that ended her life.

Can she become the High Fae her people need?

This book was packed full of drama, a little romance, and a whole lot of action/fighting. I have to say it has been a while since I read a book such as this one. I get giddy like a little girl when I read anything Fae.

Desolation is part of a book set that was release on July 10 ( yes, that recent). Shades of Fae is a box set that is available on Amazon for .99. Yes! You have read that right! .99.
